Founded by Char, a proud mum of three from Croydon, Books by Char blends heart, creativity, and lived experience. After spending 13 years working for a leading international publisher and event organiser in the aviation industry, Char felt a strong pull to channel her professional skills into something more personal and creative.

Motherhood deepened that calling. Watching her own children grow up in a world dominated by screens, she felt compelled to revive the magic of traditional storytelling—books that invite imagination, encourage conversation, and create moments that matter.
